
Professor
Kristina Buch (*1983), Germany, holds an MSc in
biology and studied protestant theology before doing her MA at the
Royal College of Art, London and studying with Rosemarie Trockel at
the Academy of Fine Arts, Düsseldorf. Buch participated at
dOCUMENTA(13) and has shown her work among many other
international venues at Pinakothek der Moderne (2021),
Bundeskunsthalle Bonn (2018), MALBA / Buenos Aires (2017), Istanbul
Biennial (2015), Kunsthalle Basel (2015), Index The Swedish
Contemporary Art Foundation (2014), Emily Harvey Foundation NYC
(2013), Manifesta9 p.e. (2012), German Embassy London (2010),
Lothringer 13 Städtische Kunsthalle München (2010). Her work is
held in collections such as the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich,
Museum Kunstpalast Düsseldorf and Borusan Contemporary Art
Collection, Istanbul.
Kristina Buch is presently a German Academic Scholarship
Foundation PhD fellow at the University of Cambridge and a visiting
professor at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts. She previously taught at
Queens' College (University of Cambridge) as supervisor (2020-21),
the Institute for Art and Art Theory at the University of
Cologne as Research Associate (2019), HGK Basel (2015-16) as
visiting lecturer under the "Next Society" professorship, Goethe
University in Frankfurt/Main as assistant professor (2013-15), and
Imperial College London as tutor (2007-11), besides lecturing
at ISCP, Max-Planck-Institute, HKW Berlin, 60 years Documenta
symposium, UdK Berlin, SAIC Chicago among others. She has received
national and international stipends and prizes for her work.
